  35. I know there has been some discussion on this subject, but I missed it.
  36. What are you experiences and opinion's (if any - good/bad) on this antenna?
  37. How well does it perform for QRP?  Is it a good Hide-away antenna for
  38. apartment dwellers?  Any and all responses are welcome.  To save bandwidth,
  39. send your response directly to me (unless there are others who missed the
  40. feed, as I did).

  61. 4 feet was too close because of the interaction between the 40m and 15m
  62. antennas. For the high bands usually 6-8 feet is enough separation. For 15
  63. and 40 you need 15 feet. I've tried 16 feet and that was successful. This
  64. is assuming that you keep the antennas in the same orientation.

  84. If you have a close to resonant (but still bad match) antenna, the tuner can
  85. search till the cows come home, rattling away mindlessly at it's relays. A
  86. manual antenna tuner with cross-needle display takes about a minute to tune
  87. up on a fresh antenna and comparitively can match *anything*, which the SGC
  88. tuner can *not* (but damn close in any case). Only purchase this if you want
  89. hands off tuning desparately, I believe this tuner is the best on the market,
  90. if you prefer to run long wires in the middle of nowhere, bring along a manual
  91. tuner *just in case*.

  93. If your aligator clip slips off the antenna feedline while running with the
  94. tuner in the shack, be prepared to watch in horror as your tuner matches up
  95. the short little alligator clip wire on 160M, then promply starts a lightening
  96. burst and fire ball from the arcing ... ;-/

  98. The tuner does *not* retune if it has better than a 4:1 match after switching
  99. bands, you will need to reset the power to the tuner before it will tune up
  100. on the new band.
